High-precision manufactured pipes designed to international ASTM & DIN specs for demanding environments.
An authoritative analysis of titanium stabilization, high-temperature resistance, and intergranular corrosion mitigation in severe processing environments.
Grade 316Ti is a titanium-stabilized variant of 316 molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. Titanium addition (typically 5x (C+N) min) prevents chromium carbide precipitation at grain boundaries during prolonged thermal exposure between 425°C and 800°C.
By forming stable titanium carbides (TiC), the matrix retains full chromium concentration near grain boundaries. This eliminates sensitisation, making 316Ti pipes ideal for heavy-wall welded structures in high-stress chemical processing environments.
Compared to standard 316L, 316Ti retains superior creep rupture strength and elevated mechanical yield stress at temperatures exceeding 550°C, extending operational lifespans in heat exchangers and thermal exhaust manifolds.
Standardization compliance across ASTM A312, EN 10216-5, and DIN 17458 standards.
